ANALYSIS: Democrats Are Staging What Experts Say Is An Illegal Federal Takeover Of Elections
In May 2021, President Joe Biden signed an executive order directing federal agencies to become assistants to the president for domestic policy, “a strategic plan outlining ways that the agencies identified in this review can facilitate voter registration and voter engagement. “
experts say Order May violate many federal laws. Not only does the bill potentially violate federal law by prohibiting the use of funds for purposes not approved by Congress, but the order also politicizes the electoral process itself. In September of the same year, an executive order was issued, the White House Published a “fact sheet” Details how the federal agency will comply with the order. In the fact sheet, the White House called the order a “call for comprehensive government action on the election.”

“Employees in the federal government who enforce President Joe Biden’s executive orders directing them to participate in state elections are likely to have violated the Deficit Act, except for meddling in the electoral process and the use of federal resources that appear to be a gain – White House Out-of-vote actions of the ruling party,” said Heritage Foundation senior legal researcher and former Federal Election Commission commissioner Hans von Spakowski. But Biden’s order requires federal employees to use his agency funds to “promote voter registration and voter participation.” (Related: Von Spakowski: Democrats’ voting ‘right’ agenda is a covert attempt to nationalize our elections)
The order essentially accomplishes, through executive action, what cannot be done through legal legislative means. The so-called ‘For the People Act’ fails in the Senate last junewhich, among other things, will exclude Voter ID laws in most states.
Vice President Kamala Harris has revealed the Democrats’ backup strategy after the Democratic voting rights legislation failed. With the legislation not working, the Biden administration is resorting to an executive order. Rep. Ted Bader, Republican of North Carolina, introduced a bill opposing the issue.
“This legislation will prevent a Biden administration from using the power, resources and influence of the federal executive branch and federal offices in states across the country to engage in voter registration and mobilization efforts designed to benefit the Democratic Party,” According to Budd’s website.
Russ Vought, former director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and president of the Center for American Recovery (CWA), wrote a letter to current OMB director Shalanda Young criticizing the order’s federal overreach.
“What we’ve seen so far is deeply concerning. Some of these plans provide that agencies will spend federal taxpayer funds or other resources and work with pre-approved outside organizations to meet the Biden administration’s participation in voters Instructions for registering work,” read letter.
The letter states that these actions are in direct conflict with the Anti-Deficit Law.
The order could also violate the Hatch Act, which prohibits public servants from engaging in partisan politics.
Stuart Whitson, former FBI surveillance agent tell the daily signal The passage of the anti-deficit law is “strikingly similar” to the behavior now encouraged by Biden’s order.
“It’s based on the scandal of 1939, when the NDP used the government to get more votes,” he said. (Related: “Possible Hatch Act Violation”: DOJ Inspector General Nominates Top FBI Agent to Special Counsel’s Office)
“Executive Order 14019 appears to be designed to target voters who are more likely to vote Democrat,” Whitson continued. “Voter participation means voter mobilization. If federal employees are committed to getting people to the polls, that’s political activism.”
“We’re looking at possible violations of the Hatch Act,” Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney of New York told the Daily Signal.
“We now have these former political agents, actually even government agencies, engaged in political action to get votes, and those roles are reserved by the states, not these federal agents.”
Biden’s executive order requires federal employees to engage in potentially illegal and partisan activities. As multiple experts have pointed out, the order may violate the Anti-Deficiency Act and the Hatch Act. Unable to achieve their electoral law dreams through the legislative process, the Biden administration is resorting to massive government overreach.
