San Francisco, who selected Lance with the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, appeared in six games as a rookie with two starts. While his completion rate didn’t match up to 57.7 percent, he had five touchdown passes and two interceptions, and added 168 yards and ground scoring.

Lance’s ability to use his legs is one of the things that differentiates him from the current Jimmy Garoppolo. The 49ers have make it clear They are looking ahead and starting their second year of Signal Callers.

As Samuel discussed, Lance’s ability to live up to the hype could be the difference between a Super Bowl run and a disappointing campaign in San Francisco.

After all, he has the talent and powerful charge of Samuel, George Kittle, Brandon Ayuk around him. There’s also a strong defense led by players like Nick Bosa and Fred Warner.

Last season, the team went to the NFC championship game under center Garoppolo, who had 20 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions as a game manager.

Lance could raise the nines’ ceiling by being more of a ball-handling playmaker. However, he will need to continue to improve his accuracy as he prepares for his first season as a starter.

Listening to Samuel, this improvement happens every day.
