How worrisome is Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s elbow problem? It is described as “bad tendonitis” But the defending Super Bowl champs downplayed the pain.

Stafford said it was “just a little sore,” which is good news for quarterbacks and teams hoping to repeat it this year.

The 34-year-old proved with his performance in training camp that the problem isn’t as bad as some have suggested.

“I don’t know if you guys are watching, I feel like I can throw anything I want today. When I get these opportunities, I just want to be smart to make sure I can come here and relax and be like Loosen it like I did today and go from there,” Stafford said, via NFL.com.

Stafford is clearly optimistic it won’t have much of an impact on his regular season, but it’s clearly a question that won’t be answered until the time comes.

He didn’t throw during spring training due to elbow pain.head coach Sean McVay announces team is lightening Stafford’s workload to help prevent the problem from getting worse.

McVeigh says Stafford can pass it but says no reason to push When teams have confidence in their quarterbacks And his ability to be ready at the start of the season, even if the entire offseason hasn’t worked 100 percent.

So far, treatment for the injury has included anti-inflammatory drugs.
